1949 Plymouth Convertible custom car. Check out the pictures of that cool 1954 Desoto grill I just had installed. This cruiser is nosed, decked, shaved and frenched with 41 Lincoln door openers, not hooded up yet. However, the door poppers are installed from inside out utilizing the heater buttons. It has a 1972 Chevy Nova front clip installed that is all rebuilt. Nova rear end with an automatic (350 or 400?) trans and Loker shifter on the floor in front of the 1963 Falcon console. The motor is a crate 350 that is about five years old and has very low miles, but is not detailed as of yet. It has a 650 four barrel carburetor and new a gas tank as well. This car is a true convertible, however there were
several sheet metal items like the floor and deck lid used from a sedan. The car now has a solid body that is all undercoated. It is a very comfortable ride with the radial tires and Cutlass Olds wheels.
I bought the car about three years ago with much done to it already. I added the Desoto grill, frenched the lights and a few more custom details. The 1954 Desoto grill has absolutely no rust or pitting. I paid $1,200. just for that. These grills are almost impossible to find without any pitting or corrosion. The rear fenders and under-bumper stone guard are welded and finished in place to the body. Now it is your turn to drive a custom car. You can add your own personality to it as I did while driving the car to cruise nights and shows. It is currently 95 percent ready for paint. Personally, I think this 49 would look aweso me with a louvered hood! If so desired, included is a pair of lower back bucket seats too. What it still needs: Your choice of color paint, hydraulics for the top, top material, misc. rubber items and finish the interior. If you are a hot rod or custom car person, you know how much it cost to build one like this. I have much, much more invested in this car. This is a cool custom and when you pull into a show everyone crowds around because it is not the sa me old Chevy, Mercury or Ford. The reason for selling is that I would like to put the money into another car I have
